I absolutely love the massive Moroccan doors that lead into the bedroom in Jessica Stam's apartment shown in Elle Decor's October '08 issue. The doors are were installed by a previous owner, and are the only part of the apartment that was left in its original form once Jessica's designer, Rafael de Cardenas, was through with the place. It's such an unexpected touch in a New York apartment let alone one that is so shiny and purple, but they really help give some weight to the room, and keep it from being a glam overload. Love it.
