Loving these paintings by the multi-talented artist, Miro Sinovcic. A native of Croatia, he emigrated to New York City in 1985, and has lived there ever since.
I've always been drawn to the way light is captured in paintings and photos. It started with Impressionist paintings. They had a way of capturing light in the act... in the way that it just touches the tip of a flower or the way a sunset or a sunrise casts its multi-colored shades over the land. This is why I am so drawn to Miro Sinovcic's paintings. He captures light... the way it hits a snowflake or the water in a fountain or its reflection on cars and buildings at night.
