It's Never Too Late for Fireworks

I say it’s not too late to post 4th of July photos as long as it’s still July.  We were treated to an unusually clear 4th of July night here in San Francisco this year.  Just look at this view of downtown from Alamo Square Park where we watched the fireworks…
 
However being that it is foggy most years, the fireworks are not shot very high, and certainly not above the buildings in downtown.  Instead the fireworks are shot from the Marina Green, Aquatic Park, and Pier 39 in unison, so from Alamo Square on this clear night, we could only just see some of them over the top of the large homes along the crest of Pac Heights.  

The best part of the show was put on by the locals who had procured illegal fireworks, like this trio.
